Weekly Photo Challenge: Fleeting
My first thought for this photo challenge was to find an adorable picture of my young daughters, and with a melancholy tone muse about how fleeting children’s lives are. One minute, they’re seven years old, and the next, they’re a teenager. I couldn’t do it, though – I have enough reminders of that phenomenon already.
So when I ran across this picture that I took last September, I was relieved to have another suitable interpretation. Clouds themselves are pretty much damp masses of fleetingness, and a scene like this make it all the more pronounced.
That’s not only reason you’re seeing this photo, though. When I took a holiday from blogging a couple months ago, I found that I missed having an outlet for my photos. Thus was born a page on facebook, Dad Knows Photography. Today I posted this photo there, calling it Silver Lining.
It’s shameless, but I’m asking you to feel free to pay a visit. The Dad Knows Photography name is a complete sham, but it’s also a fun little joke. You regular visitors here should, I guess, know that you’ll see a few perhaps familiar images. That’s okay, right?
Thanks for visiting – here, and there.
